What is the artist trying to say in this painting?
(Seen in bathroom of Taqueria specializing in fish tacos)
- The owners of these flipflops and surfboards are frolicking elsewhere?
- 4-5 people have been swept out to sea leaving behind the detritus of their young lives?
- Seagulls have already picked their carcases clean and then the bones were washed out to sea?
- The artist doesn't know how to paint the human figure?
Whaa? Beer & Wine at Starbucks?
I just saw a liquor license application notice on a window at a Starbucks in Emeryville. A little investigation shows they're already doing it in some cities, but this is the first I've heard of it in The Bay Area. It's called Starbucks Evenings. They will someday own the world. Boo!
